Lahai-roi had its moments with Danya's horror bits and robot fights, and after fixing Jinzhou's lore-dumping masturbation to actually recommendable levels in Rinascita, it feels like Yushou just dragged us right back down.

Zero motivation to do the story tbh, might actually end up as the most hated update yet.

Miss the good old days of laughing at Genshin's TPS drama, now we get an update and all it brings is some lame old geezer boss fight plus recycled events. At least getting cancelled means staying relevant, while this game gets nothing…

Guess Yushou's gonna stay this trash moving forward, just wanna head to Neo-Union ASAP and get a vibe change.

Feels like everything's a 1v1 chat just to sell banners, especially with those forced body-contact scenes again since Yuno, seriously so sick of this pandering route.

Finally dealt with Muku, but looks like we're stuck fighting Fractsidus in Yushou for like two more patches.

Dropping companion quests was such a massive L, if they split things up we could've had the Genpou Castle showdown as a group thing instead of a date, while saving Qingxiao's internal struggles for a side quest.

Just want the main plot to move already, wait, is it even moving? Fractsidus is completely unscathed! Let me bludgeon Christoforo to death already for crying out loud.
Commenter
Only playing this gacha and holy shit, the unedited story is a painful snoozefest, map looks completely dead too.

Lahai-roi had some boring writing too, but making an already boring Yushou even worse is hilarious, better wrap this up and head to Neo-Union before the active player base vanishes entirely.
Commenter
Wait, this version's actually ending in just 5 weeks?
Commenter
Literally reads like "Qingxiao quits being an immortal."
Commenter
Might just be me, but pacing-wise this is genuinely the most agonizing story yet, first time the length actually made it pure suffering, though seeing loli Changli saved it just a little bit.
Commenter
Garbage writing actually managed to spark some drama online though.

With this formula every region feels identical, just meet the local sidekick and beat up some edgy boss.
Commenter
Not like this patch is extraordinarily terrible or anything, this level of boredom is just the baseline for the writing here, though a good story like Ames's explodes in popularity so higher quality is always better.
Commenter
Yikes, this is turning into actual garbage on the level of Endfield, didn't even like Star-Torch Academy's sterile aesthetic, but Yushou's horror gimmick makes me want to get out of this country right now.

Heard immortals are a huge trope in China so the plot flows naturally over there with sword intent, masters, and flying techniques, but it totally flies over Japanese heads so the low ratings make total sense, since the only flying swords we know are from Tao Pai Pai, and watching people motorcycle on swords isn't even edgy, it's just laughably lame.
Commenter
The boring region stuff was probably the devs' passion project since it's Chinese-made, wonder if players back home actually love it, though everyone definitely agrees it drags on way too long lol.
Commenter
Some fanboys keep coping with "they're just nursing them back to health!", totally missing how creepy it is to deliberately animate it like that.
Commenter
Blaming it on people not getting immortal lore is completely missing the point, it barely connects to Qingxiao's choices or the Muku debate, and doesn't excuse the sleep-inducing journey getting there, plus how much immortal media do they think people consume anyway?
Commenter
Everything drags on forever in some random mental void too, the sky fortress doesn't even attack anywhere and resurrected ghosts are completely irrelevant, then it drops us straight into Qingxiao's psyche which is just rock bottom.
Commenter
Hand-holding and escort missions over and over again just induce instant eye-rolls, characters making desperate pandering faces are way too blatant now, even Jinhsi's already doing it.
Commenter
Dead weeks are fine, but stop padding the void with aggressively annoying, overcomplicated minigames.
Commenter
Didn't even hate chapter 4, but slogging through 4 to 5 hours just to bonk Mokren over the head over and over again is brutal.
Commenter
Is this update completely barren or what? No map expansions, just story, and events delayed by days acting as glorified asset-flips of tedious domains, should've just been a shortened male character banner patch instead.
Commenter
At this rate they could easily cram this whole story into a single hour.
